Kindergarten Cityscapes

This week, the kindergarten students created cityscapes out of colored construction paper.  We began by reading the book Noisy City Day by Sara Anderson.  Then, each student received a large sheet of gray paper and chose different colors and shapes of cool colored paper to make the first row of city buildings.  They layered on shorter warm colored paper to create the second row, then added colorful windows.  This step was a great way to practice glue skills.  “Dot, dot, not a lot.”
