Kindergarten African Necklaces

Last week, the kindergarten students made African necklaces.  We looked at pictures of the necklaces and talked about how different colors and designs represented different cultures.  Each student received a paper plate that had the center cut out of it to paint with water activated tempera paint.  Once they dried, we punched holes and connected them with yarn.
