As part of the art show, the third grade students created replicas of famous paintings to display in a “wax museum.” They each started with a color print out of their painting, and enlarged it onto an 18×22 in. piece of paper. Then, they researched some facts about their artist and painting. The night of the art show, the paintings were mounted on foam-core. The students recited their facts when someone pushed their button and brought their “wax” self to life.
