The fourth grade students completed leaf studies with a variety of colorful fall leaves. They did their best to copy the shape of their leaf onto their paper, enlarging it to roughly twice the size to enhance the details. They did their best to replicate every tear, vein, discoloration, and anything else that made their leaf unique. Once all of the details were drawn, they filled them in with watercolor colored pencils. These start out looking the same as regular colored pencils, but when painted over with water, turn into watercolor.
