This week, the first grade made t-shirts that they will wear for all of their field trips. One class started with bright orange shirts and the other with bright yellow. We drew a large square on the front in permanent marker then placed cardboard inside so that nothing would soak through. To fill in the squares, we played pass the paint. Each student starts with a color of acrylic paint. They could paint designs or realistic images for about 2 minutes before it was time to pass. Each color was passed once so that every student had a chance to use it. The finished products were bright colorful shirts that are sure to stand out in a crowd.
