1st Grade Melted Snowmen

In honor of our first day back after 2 snow days, the first grade students made these melted snowmen.  We started class reading Sneezy the Snowman by Maureen Wright.  It is the story of a cold snowman who keeps melting trying to warm up in the cold winter weather.  Our soupy snow is made from a mixture of glue and shaving cream.  The mixture stays fluffy like whipped marshmallow even after drying.  They added goggle eyes, top hats, yarn scarfs, buttons, and popsicle stick arms into the mixture to complete our poor melted friends.
