Pre-Kindergarten African Necklaces

A part of their international studies, students made African necklaces.  We looked at pictures of the necklaces and talked about how different colors and designs represented different cultures.  Each student received a paper plate that had the center cut out of it to paint with water activated tempera paint.  Once they dried, we punched holes and connected them with yarn.
