1st Grade Tooth Fairies

The first grade students drew portraits of the tooth fairy. We started class talking about what we think the tooth fairy looks like. Then, we read April and Esme Tooth Fairies.  It is the story of two sister tooth fairies who go on an adventure to collect their first tooth. After the book, we talked about the differences between the way the fairies were illustrated and our list of descriptions. Each student received a piece of paper to draw the tooth fairy as they imagine him or her.  To finish, we painted them in with colored tempera bricks.
