To create these sheep, the students blew bubbles through a straw into a mixture of water, black tempera paint, and dish soap. Once they made enough bubbles to come over the edge of their cup, they placed a piece of paper on top. The texture of the bubbles printed onto the paper. We drew backgrounds using oil pastels, then cut sheep bodies from our bubble paper. After adding construction paper faces and legs, we attached the sheep to their new homes in the Irish countryside.
